Great Barrier Reef Education Experience Program
In March 2021 the Queensland Government announced its Great Barrier Reef Education Experience Program. The program is designed to support students to undertake place-based learning activities on the Great Barrier Reef.
The program will provide eligible primary and secondary students in Queensland up to $150 to be used towards travel, accommodation and the expenses associated with a reef field trip.
The GBR Education Experience Program will align with the school curriculum, and resources will be developed for schools and teachers to support alignment with the themes of the GBR within the Australian Curriculum.
